Norman Allan

Norman Allan is a surf, ska, and pop band out of Santa Barbara, California, formed in 1975. Known for their live, dance sound packed with rhythmic drive, rough edges, and dissonant harmonies, Norman Allan’s wild attitude and energetic live shows left a lasting mark on surf, ska, and rock scenes well into the 1980s. Their first recording, entitled First Aid, is a four song EP recorded at W..A.V.E.S. in Santa Barbara in August 1980. In 1982 they released their first single with B4U on side A and No Young Girl on the B-side. The following year they released Critical Seconds with ten more powerful, original songs including Dance, Magic, Beauty and Tug O War.
