The Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra is a Russian symphony orchestra based in the Novosibirsk Philharmonic. The title "academic" has been worn since 1982.

Created in 1956 and for more than half a century worked under the direction of its founder, conductor Arnold Katz / Арнольд Кац. After his death, the Lithuanian conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius has been leading the orchestra since 2007.
Guest conductors Fabio Mastrangelo and Thomas Sanderling also work with the orchestra.

The history of the orchestra includes a wide range of tours throughout the USSR and major European countries, as well as Japanese tours in 1997 and 2001.
