Artist Biography
Valeri Sholevski is known as Ogonek since the 2000 year for Bulgarian Drum and Bass audience, although he started producing his electronic project in 1996. At the same time, he was part of the creation of "PBPM" label along with the producers Kei, Sub and KiNK a huge name at Techno and House scene (Currently Running Back, Macro). Later Ogonek met Ivan Shopov (Cooh) and worked together and in 2001-2003 they get out from the shadows with five incredible and emblematic pure Drum and Bass and IDM LPs. ("FEM02", "Sick of Amen", "Beauty", "Drum and Bass Massacre" and "After Comma")
Meanwhile, Valeri became part of HMSU - the biggest music movement organization in Bulgaria organized over 350 DNB events. With HMSU Ogonek supported names like Goldie, Black Sun Empire, LTJ Bukem, Roni Syze, Dub Fx, Spor, Noisia, Current Value, Calyx, Teebee, Technical Itch, Gancher & Ruin, Dylan, Panacea, Broken Note, Dj Hidden, Limewax, Audio, Jade, Dom & Roland, Shy FX, Venganze, Pendulum, Gridlok, Bad Company, Dub Elements, Chase and Status, Prolix, Insideinfo and many more…
Ogonek performing worldwide as headliner in Europe (Mainly in Bulgaria but also in Belgium, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Portugal, UK, Italy) also in the Middle East, Russia and Latin America.
In 2008 Ogonek established Metafiziq Recordings - an electronic music label, which finds its place at the world drum and bass scene presenting production by huge names such as Dub Elements, Counterstrike, Cooh, Gancher & Ruin, Freqax, Kaiza, Fragz also Max Shade, Joanna Syze, Balkansky, Erre, YMB, Digital Soul and many more…
In 2010 together with Bassline Agency alongside Anger Management, he organized the biggest dark drum and bass show those days called "Therapy Sessions - Sofia" in Bulgaria.
In 2011 Ogonek started and organized a unique show called "SCARY MUSIC" which is usually a seven-hour live set performed only by him and Cooh. Together, Ogonek and Cooh did five volumes of the "Scary Music" show. In 2016 Ogonek played again with his friend at the similar show called "One Man Party" organized by Ivan Shopov (Cooh).
In April 2016 Valeri together with Ben Bussel (USA -Mindocracy Recordings), Adam Sonik Presha Rides and Ian VinylRichie Gallant (UK - Druid Records) established the "Hit List Audio" - Freshly started label. Expect nothing but the best in drum and bass.
In 2017 Ogonek takes part in the biggest drum and bass festival in the world - "Let It Roll".
Nowadays Valeri Sholevski is working and performing with his own label Metafiziq Recordings and the HMSU organization, also producing music for labels like Future Sickness, Big Riddim, Melting Pot, Mindocracy Recordings, Culture Assault, Black Hoe, Battle Audio and others...
