Osdorp Posse

About

Amsterdam, Netherlands - Active: 1989-2009 Osdorp Posse was one of the first dutch (hardcore) hiphop-groups that started to rap in the dutch language, often called "Nederhop". Not yet contracted in the beginning of the 90's, they already debuted by spreading their first demo-tape "De Rooie Demo" (in english: The Red Demo) in the underground hiphop-scene. Because of the 'straight-in-ya-face' lyrics and their rockhard beats, they gained a lot of popularity in a short time. In 1992, Djax Records (from the famous Miss Djax) contracted them and the first Osdorp Posse cd-album was born: "Osdorp Stijl". Many successful albums later, the Osdorp Posse decided to leave Djax Records and started their own record label "Ramp Records" in the year 1998. After their first Ramp-album "Kernramp" DJ Daan also joined the group. Members: Def P (Pascal Griffioen) - Main rapper, lyrics-composer & artwork designer Seda (Robin Bezuijen) - Beatcreator & second rapper IJsblok (Marco Moolhuizen) - Background raps & tour manager King (Arthur Bezuijen) - Background raps & label manager of Ramp Records Deegmeester Daan - Scratches
