Ounce Of Self

Formerly known as Steel Remains:

With a relentless take no prisoners attitude, OUNCE of SELF is ready to out heavy the entire face of this planet!! Keeping everything heavy, sludgy and earth shaking, the band tends to leave their mark on the metal scene. Making sure their music is proficient, complicated and diverse, the arrangements of their assault makes for a high level of intensity in their style. Armed with the knowledge they have studied from the likes of Black Sabbath, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, and every other hard rock heavy band, they pay an un-ashamed homage to the ones whom have influenced them to take heavy music to the 9th degree. Rising from the obscurities of this heavy metal cesspool, OUNCE of SELF has managed to accomplish a sound that is not just a common metal assault, but a meshing of everything we love about heavy music. You're struck with deep, rich, soulful vocals, fused with a hi and low end primal grit that lie over the primitive chunk of ear rattling riffs and a back line that shows no end to their ability! OUNCE of SELF is churning out gut wrenching tunes that are destined to become anthems in the world of heavy music. Having played venues such as the House of Blues, the Roxy, the Whiskey and the Troubadour, OUNCE OF SELF never fails to leave fans in awe of the quality of music and the brutality of the OUNCE of SELF sound!! This being said, each show is a little heavier and a little louder. Dedicated and focused on everything they have to give, the band is on a mission and that's what holds it down for OUNCE of SELF. The main thing that keeps them going is how their fans like what OUNCE OF SELF is pushing out and that is what fuels these guys to put 100% into every stage they have to stomp. These guys want to make sure who ever goes to a OUNCE of SELF show leaves with a bruise or a busted lip to remember the night, and with out a doubt they will come back for more. The impact that this band has cannot be under estimated, and it is certain OUNCE Of SELF will be around for a long time.
