About

Established in 1979 as a post-punk/electronic outfit lead by Susumu Hirasawa, P-Model quickly became a major underground group. P-model remained heavily active until '88, releasing 8 albums -along with a number of remix albums- until a six year hiatus, or 'freeze', until the release of the self-titled album 'P-Model'. P-Model continued releasing music until officially breaking up in 1999, releasing a total of 13 studio albums. In 2004 Susumu Hirasawa released a solo album as Kaku P-Model, with subsequent installments as recent as 2018. Many members of P-Model's lineup over the years have released other solo and group works, including Kotobuki Hikaru in Phnonpenh Model and Yokogawa Tadahiko.
