Parallax Orchestra

Parallax Orchestra was founded in 2015 by Will Harvey and Maddie Cutter. The idea was had to formalise a group to bring together the best and most versatile musicians in order to work with high quality artists from across the musical spectrum. As well as being an orchestra made up of some of country's best musicians, Parallax Orchestra provide a session-player fixing and music arranging service with an ever-growing list of recording credits and is fundamentally a group of creatively-driven musicians interested in collaboration, co-writing and exploring musical potential.

Parallax Orchestra have proven themselves to be particularly comfortable collaborating with musicians at the heavier end of the spectrum, having performed at the Royal Albert hall in large-scale projects with UK rock band Bring Me The Horizon (April 2016) and most recently with US Hard-Rock band Alter Bridge (October 2017). The orchestra also have appeared at Wembley Arena with Eminem & Clean Bandit for the 2017 MTV EMAs. In 2018 Parallax Orchestra branched out into the world of video game music with composer and guest conductor Andrew Skeet for Bethesda Studios and Warchild.

With smaller ensembles, Parallax Orchestra have performed with artists such as Whitney, Half Moon Run, Toh Kay, dodie, The Antlers, Money & Anavae.

Studio credits include Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, dodie, Rubod & Stroudinsky, The Irrepressibles, The Wandering Hearts, LYR (Poet Laureate Simon Armitage), Michele Stodart, Be Charlotte, Astraea, Guy Sigsworth, Grace Lightman, Myles Kennedy and Martin Grech.

Recently Parallax Orchestra have provided studio musicians for orchestral and chamber sessions for composers Matt Nicholson and Shin Suzuma for library music publisher Premiumbeat, as well music for large-scale adverts (Very.co.uk Christmas campaign (2019) and Standard Chartered/Liverpool FC (2020) with singer/producer Astraea.

Parallax Orchestra is conducted by Simon Dobson who is one of the primary arrangers for the ensemble and a three times British Composer award (BASCA) winner for his compositions.
