Passion Theatre

Passion Theatre was formed by Tommy Worsey, Roy Sybesma and Sean Worsey in 1984. The band eventually grew to include drummer Ash Soliman and keyboardist Scott Bottomley. In 1986 Passion Theatre recorded and released two EP's (Strange Desire and Mannequin) which featured their unique new wave / synth-pop sound. The band wrapped it up in 1988, but over time the original EP's became increasingly sought after by collectors and aficionados, with decent copies fetching hundreds of dollars. By 2019, one of the band's songs "Vacation Day" with its signature Spanish guitar and balearic vibe was becoming something of an underground hit in parts of Europe. In 2020 Vacation Day was featured on Charles Bals' balearic compilation Retour au Club Meduse and released by London's Spacetalk Records. The following year (2021), Spacetalk re-mastered and re-released Passion Theatre's two EP's as a double record set. The double album has met with great success around the world. There is even talk of Passion Theatre re-uniting and releasing some new material for their growing fan base.
