Paternoster was an Austrian underground, progressive rock band that originated from Vienna (Wien), Austria. The band, inspired by Soft Machine and the likes, existed approximately two years in the early 1970's, and disbanded shortly after the release of their 1971 eponymously entitled album, of which only some 270 copies were sold. An original copy was sold at around $8,000 on eBay in Sept. 2015.
Paternoster have made a comeback or two in later years.
