Lives with husband Denis and in October 2001 gave birth to son Alexander and on July 31, 2003 to Ignatius Aron Maria.

Maria Patricia Kelly has been in the band 'The Kelly Family' since the mid-1970s. She started to sing with the band when she was five years old. She has composed and sung several well-known songs, like ' First Time' and 'Please Don't Go' with the family band. She is a multi-instrumentalist; Beside her well-known unique voice, she can play the guitar, keyboards, different types of percussion and harp. Moreover, she looked after family's health in the past and was responsible for managing the band and she was the media person of the family. Despite several health problems she has been active in all the eras of 'The Kelly Family'. She speaks fluent English, German, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian. She also learns to speak Russian now, because her husband is from Russia. In March 2008, she started her solo career with her very first solo performance on Gymnich, called "Brought Me Home".

Since then she has recorded several albums and singles, her last two albums 'Grace & Kelly' in 2016 and the recent one, 'One More Year' became very successful and reached charts in different countries.
