Pers Hans Olsson

Swedish folk musician from Östbjörka in Rättvik municipality, Dalarna, born October 14, 1942, died July 3, 2020 in Rättvik. His father Pers Erik Olsson and grandfather Pers Olle were Rättviksspelmän who both made a deep impression on him. He learned to play the violin as a child from his father, who was anxious for his son to acquire the traditional Rättvik playing. Other role models and teachers among older Rättvik players were Blank Karl Andersson (1896–1970) from Blecket, Börjes Olle Samuelsson (1905–1975) from Lerdal, Perols Gudmund Olsson (1890–1981) from Gärdebyn and Jones Olle (1892–1971) from Altsarbyn.

His wife Yvonne Olsson and son Pers Alexander Olsson are also fiddlers.
