Phil Judd, also known as Phil 'Bud' Judd on some releases, (born 20 March 1953 Hastings, New Zealand) is a New Zealand singer-songwriter, and guitarist. He was a founding member of Split Enz along with Tim Finn, and also founded The Swingers. He left Split Enz in 1977 before returning briefly in 1978. Not long after, Judd experimented with New Zealand punk outfits Enemy and Suburban Reptiles. Out of the remnants of The Suburban Reptiles he formed The Swingers. After The Swingers broke up in 1983 he went on to perform with various other ex-Enz players in Melbourne-based band Schnell Fenster. He moved on to concentrate on composing film soundtracks. He has also released solo albums.
