London duo Ed Handley and Andy Turner started recording as Plaid while still members of Black Dog Productions. The first Plaid album, OK, was released in 1991. In 1995, Ed and Andy ended their five year collaboration with Ken Downie and left The Black Dog. Plaid released the Dehumanizer EP that same year, and the pair began rechanneling their efforts full-time.
