Pops Staples (b.December 28, 1914, Winona, Mississippi, USA – d.December 19, 2000, Chicago, Illinois, USA) was an American Gospel and R&B musician. He was an accomplished songwriter, guitarist and singer and patriarch and member of singing group The Staple Singers, which included his daughters Cleotha Staples, Mavis Staples, Yvonne Staples and son Pervis Staples.
