About

Professor Stretch's early career was rooted in the hardcore scene. He was part of the trio that produced Dance Conspiracy's string-laden classic "Dub War" and he continued to record breakbeat tracks with old Dance Conspiracy partner DJ Pulse, including a successful remix of Alex Reece's "Feel The Sunshine".

His training was initially formal - playing the piano from the age of five but he soon swapped the prospect of studying music at university for late night spots on various pirate radio stations. During this time he met Chad Jackson of 1990 sample heavy anthem "Hear The Drummer Get Wicked" fame, and 1987 DMC World Champion. He hung out in Jackson's studio, learning the ropes and exploring his massive collection of hip hop and soul records. He then joined forces with manager/producer Ron Tom, a union which resulted in the initial development of the hugely successful All Saints and Sugarbabes.

Stretch is more recently known for his production and writing as one of the two Underwolves. His abilities as a producer, writer, mix engineer and remixer are second to none.
