Quiet Elegance

Composed of two former The Glories and a Vandella, Quiet Elegance were formed in 1971 by Frances Yvonne (Frankie) Gearing, Mildred Vaney and Sandra Delores (Lois) Reeves. While supporting The Temptations at a show in Memphis, they were seen by Willie Mitchell who signed them to Hi Records in 1972. In 1974 they went on the road as Engelbert Humperdinck's backing group, the following year they appeared as the backing group for Al Green. They disbanded in 1977.
