RAG is a rap crew from around the Ruhr area, Germany. The name RAG is an acronym for "Ruhrpott AG".
RAG emerged from two hip-hop crews from the Ruhr area. That was the crew Filo Joes and the crew Raid. The two crews met each other on jams and noticed that their mentality and the view of hip-hop were similar. So they decided to make music together and acted as "Ruhrpott AG".
In 2020 a documentary called "We almost lost Bochum" about RAG was shown in cinemas.
