Ralf Stemmann (21 June 1958 - 7 August 2017) was a keyboardist, synthesizer programmer, composer, producer and arranger.
Ralf had degrees in Mathematics and Natural Science from Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Nordheide, Germany. He also received a broad classical piano instruction from 1965 to 1981.
While residing in Germany Ralf Stemmann worked as an arranger, studio and live-keyboard player and teacher.
The first success came with signing to Night’n’Day Records where he collaborated with Mike Mareen. Ralf learned comprehensive studio techniques in engineering and sound design at Studio 33 (Star Studio Hamburg until 1988) with engineer / producer Luis Rodriguez.
While residing in Germany, he worked with European recording artists including: Modern Talking, Chris Norman, C.C. Catch, Blue System, Engelbert Humperdinck, London Boys, Nino de Angelo, London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, New Baccara, Marianne Rosenberg, Roberto Blanco, Howard Carpendale, Mary Roos, Bonnie Bianco, Ricky Shayne and others. Ralf also composed, produced and arranged music for films, TV and videos including: scoring for several episodes of the TV crime-shows "Der Alte" and "Tatort", and scoring for TV series "Rivalen der Rennbahn", "Küss die Hand" and "Rendezvous", "ZDF-Fahrstunde" and "ZDF-Hitparade".
After moving to US, Ralf Stemmann worked as a composer, producer and arranger for names of such calibre as Ricky Martin, Thalia, Marta Sánchez, Kiara, Audrey Landers, The Three Degrees, Thomas Anders, Michael Holm, Brigitte Nielsen and many others. He has also worked composing, producing and arranging music for films, TV and videos. These include all themes for the PBS show "The Huggabug Club", all the themes for the "Buscando Estrellas" shows from 1992-1993 as well as "Supermodels of the World", International Auto-Show Detroit, etc. He worked on the History of Mexico Animation series, a new animated TV series for the U.S. market, and the score for the movie "The Pearl".
