Ratones Paranoicos

The Argentine rock & roll and blues ensemble Ratones Paranoicos was formed in 1984 in Buenos Aires
The band was mainly influenced by the Rolling Stones (frontman and singer Juan Sebastian Gutierrez (aka Juanse) has repeatedly stated that the Stones are as necessary as medicine to him).
Two years later, the band released their debut self-titled album, and then "Los Chicos Quieren Rock" in 1988, but success came along with 1989's "Furtivos", which included one of the biggest hits the four-piece act ever composed, "Rock del Gato":
This led Ratones Paranoicos to sign a deal with Sony Music and work alongside former Rolling Stones' producer Andrew Loog Oldham to release "Fieras Lunáticas" (1991), which included the hit "Rock del Pedazo".

In 1992, the band opened for Keith Richard and Guns N' Roses in Buenos Aires, and three years later for the Rolling Stones during their five dates at River Plate football (soccer) Stadium, the country's largest, for an estimated audience of 300,000.
Ratones Paranoicos have also played with other major Argentine acts, including Los Piojos and singer/songwriter Andrés Calamaro, with whom they recorded "Para Siempre", a tune inspired by and dedicated to Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona.
In 2006, Ratones Paranoicos celebrated its 20th anniversary with a concert at the All Boys football Stadium in Buenos Aires.
