Born September 26, 1900 in Hilo, Hawaii.
Died February 1, 1972 in Honolulu, Hawaii (age of 71).
Born of Irish-Hawaiian parents. He was musically active from the 1920s onwards, performing on radio, stage and screen.
He was at one time a member of Harry Owens and His Royal Hawaiians, later to lead his first group, the 'Hawaiian Musical Ambassadors', based in Hollywood.
He was added to the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame in 2002.
