About

French electro house duo (from Paris / Belfort).

REVOLTE, is the surprising union between Luc, musician with a classical background and Arnaud, also a composer from a very young age, but more focused on DJing. After meeting on an internet forum & starting making music together, they created the duo REVOLTE, a project for which Arnaud imagined their crash test dummies alter egos / concept ("Marvin & Jaden").
Their musical influences are Funk, Disco, House, Electro Rock, and more precisely the French Touch music that was initiated in the 90s. The mix of those different influences make the sound of REVOLTE. Recognized as micro-sampling “prodigies”, they create a unique sound combining melodies and hard beats, offering a fresh new vision of the French touch 2.0.
They worked with well known artist such as Yann Destal, singer and half MODJO band, on their track “Game for fools”, made a unofficial remix of the track “Voyager” by DAFT PUNK; have been on the playlists / Dj sets of famous artists as Busy P, Justice, SebastiAn, with their track “Weak generation”. The artists Grum and Danger remixed them officially, and Revolte, themselves, made an highly talked about official, and sadly unreleased remix (commissioned by EMI UK) of Kylie Minogue 's shelved single "Boombox". [Snippets of all the unreleased (thankfully leaked) remixes (including the Revolte mix) can be heard on an official free megamix called "Kylie Minogue - I'm A Golden Girl Mix" using all the remixes originally commissioned for the "Boombox" track. Only one of the 7 unreleased remixes originally commissioned for the "Boombox" track was officially released : the "Boombox (LA Riots Remix)", the very last track of the confusingly named "Kylie – Boombox: The Remix Album 2000-2008" (released in 2009)].
They have been supported by Alan Braxe, Dax Riders, Danger, Gildas Loec and many others… They appeared on "Kitsuné Boombox Mixed by Jerry Bouthier" compilation.
The duo separated after failing to land a record deal, despite being a well-known underground electro band among the bloghouse ("blogosphere") internet scene of the mid-2000s.

Fictional bio :
Everything started in 1985 in a factory in the north of California. We need to keep silent about the name of the factory as we are afraid of possible reprisals against our friends who are still held captive. Back in the days we were made up by Bill, an old man who really loved us. We were created to test comfort of the car, to make sure factory would get all the stars needed to sell millions of vehicles all over the world. Life was so good until Mr Edwards, a rich American industrial, purchased the factory and quickly started spreading terror amongst us.
We understood the worst was to come but we were far from imagining what he had in mind and what he planned for us. In fact, Mr Edwards decided to use us in what he called the crash test. Terror was established.
Each month two of us were randomly chosen to be killed in terrible accidents intentionally scheduled. Panic swept through our community, we were all terrified, we had to react otherwise we would be decimated. Marvin and I escaped on the 8th of August 2005 as the factory was closed and the guards were having lunch. Since then, we have one and only one wish: to release our friends still help prisoners. We are ready to fight, ready to face the worst. We proclaim our REVOLTE.
