Rhythm Trip is Rap Metal band from New Jersey, the brainchild of Tim "T" McMurtrie, original guitarist and founding member of the legendary Method Of Destruction, who co-wrote M.O.D.'s 1987 debut album "U.S.A. for M.O.D." and 1992's "Rhythm Of Fear".

2 years after conceiving the idea of the band, T enlisted the aid of an unknown MC from New York named A.J.. This collaboration formed the explosive nucleus that bridged their concept of this crossover style, rounded out by DJ Axis (turntables), Rich C. (guitar), Dave U. (bass) and Tamir M. (drums).

In 1996, Rhythm Trip's debut album, "Bring Da Ruckus", was released exclusively in Europe through Intercord/Bullet Proof Records. "Bring Da Ruckus" expanded the horizon of Rhythm Trip by introducing them to European audiences, where the band played to an incredible reception and established a fan base at major festivals and on a triple-bill tour with Merauder and Pro-Pain. Following that tour, the video single for "Who Holdz Da Crown" was aired on a number of European music television stations.

The band released follow-up "Return of Da Dragon" in 1998.
