Richard Ginns is a sound artist based in Manchester. Inspired by photography and the visual arts, field recordings and found sounds, Richard's acoustic and analog instrumentation define a minimal approach to his work. Using electronics and DIY instruments with found sound, he uses reel-reel tape machines, tape loops and cassette recorders to paint a wall of texture and atmospheres. His work can be found on some labels such as Analogpath, Cotton Goods, Clothbound, Twice Removed and Eilean Rec.
