RMB were Rolf Maier-Bode (born 6 March 1974, Berlin, Germany) and Farid Gharadjedaghi (born 26 May 1974, Tehran, Iran). The RMB name came about as a pun on the very German-sounding name Rolf Maier-Bode. Despite that, RMB has always been a duo since the project's formation in 1993. The first live act of RMB was in 1993. Since 1998 they were operating their own label Various Music Recordings GmbH (see Various Silver Recordings). RMB split in 2007 when creative differences brought the production of their album "Evolution" to a complete halt, though it was released digitally in 2009.
