About

Swedish humoristic rock band.
The band was the biggest in the 1970s when they conquered the country's people's amusement parks and pub scenes with their mix of humor, spex and rock 'n' roll. "Hey Baberiba" was the song that made them popular with the Swedish people. During a period the group was supplemented by Laila Westersund and Lena-Maria Gårdenäs-Lawton as guest artists. From the years 1978 onwards, the group consisted of Leif "Burken" Björklund, Rock-Ragge, Åke Larsén (who was the band's engine), Per-Arne Eklund and the new guitarist from Blåblus, Micke Areklew. In the 1980s the band ceased and the front character Leif "Burken" Björklund invested in a solo career.
In recent years, the Rock people resurrected and made nostalgic recordings together with Rock-Ragge and Rock-Olga, both now deceased. Even Leif "Burken" Björklund is now deceased. Per-Arne Eklund passed away on February 20, 2015 in Stockholm. New members included Boris "Rock-Boris" Lindqvist (died 2017), Lasse Söderström and Kåre Ljunggren. In 2012, Bo Persson Git, vocals, Kalle Åhmark, piano, accordion, vocals and Jan Bråthe, bass, trombone, vocals were added.
