Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, well known for his use of the talk box and large influence on early 90's west coast hip hop. b: November 29, 1951, Hamilton, Ohio, U.S.A. d: April 25, 1999, Dayton, Ohio, U.S.A. Received a Grammy nomination for [m84794]. Roger and his brother Larry died under mysterious and violent circumstances. For reasons not well understood, Larry Troutman shot Roger several times outside his recording studio and then killed himself, a few blocks away from where he shot Roger.
