    Rubem Dantas

Brazilian percussionist (Salvador, Bahia, 1954). He studied piano and latter percussion in Bahia with Vadinho do Gantois, and went to Spain in 1976. He's played with most flamenco-fusion bands from then to nowadays (Paco De Lucía, Guadalquivir, Jorge Pardo, Pedro Ruy Blas and his band Dolores, Camarón, Ketama...). It is the pioneer of the introduction of percussion in Flamenco music, especially the use of the Peruvian drawer.
