Scorned Embrace began in the summer of 2007 with one goal in mind: to push the boundaries of metalcore. The five piece group featuring Mike Clark (vocals), Elliott Flanagan (guitar), Logan Matti (drums), Mike Hendrix (Drix, bass), and Josh Williams (guitar), takes inspiration from bands like Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, and Unearth. Scorned embrace blends these influences to produce music riddled with crushing breakdowns, intricate syncopated riffs, and melodies that will be stuck in your head for weeks. Combined with an energy infused live show full of humorous antics, the band forms a crisp new metalcore experience unique to the Tucson local music scene.

Over the last four years Scorned Embrace has crossed several thresholds by opening for Unearth, All that Remains, Bleeding Through, Miss May I, The Ghost Inside, Mushroom Head, Fear Factory, Poison the Well, For the Fallen Dreams, Powerman 5000, Veil of Maya, Motionless In White, and many more. They have released two full length albums, toured California, destroyed venues in Flagstaff, Phoenix, Nogales, and Tucson, and plan to continue doing so throughout 2012 and beyond.
