Shindu

Synth Pop/Electro trio turned duo based in Ghent, Belgium, formed in 2011 by Chibi Vanwijnsberghe (Tine Vanwijnsberghe) and Christopher D'Havé (Maxime Abbenbroek of Static & Greedy, the Dj duo he formed with Christopher, was originally part of the project).
In 2022, Christophe announced through a Facebook post that the duo/couple he formed with Chibi had officially parted ways (in 2019 Christophe reunited with his best friend Maxime Abbenbroek and formed the duo [a=Arkaene] / arkaenedjs).

Shindu was formed by the Belgian DJ duo Static & Greedy, consisting of Christopher and Maxime. After years in the Belgian club scene, they aimed to create a unique yet accessible sound, blending various musical influences while while staying true to their personal tastes, ultimately incorporating elements of electronic music and 80s pop as the foundation of their project. They realized they needed a strong female vocalist to lead, and after auditions, Chibi was chosen for this role. They partnered with producer Sebastiaan Vandevoorde, known as Moonlight Matters, who helped shape the sound of their tracks. With the band now complete, they began working together in the studio and gave birth to their first EP.
