Shower With Goats

Shower With Goats existed as part of the NJPP (New Jersey Pop Punk) scene from 1994-2000. They were well known for their unique blend of raw, upbeat punk tunes backed with emphatic vocals. There really was never an “SWG sound”. Their influences ranged from many bands including Fifteen, Face To Face, Quit, Big Drill Car, All, Rhythm Collision, and even Crass on occasion. They originally formed from the remains of an old band called M.N.F.S.T., and went on to release several 7” records, 1 full length, and copious unreleased tracks on scattered compilation releases. Shower With Goats frontman and founder, Steve Neurotic, decided to end the band in February 2000 for numerous reasons. From 2000 to the late 2003, Steve ran the infamous punk website, Poppunk.Com. In March of 2007, Steve met up with long time fans of SWG, Ed Arson and Daryl Goat to jam out some of the old songs for fun, on a trip to see his folks. The practice so well that Steve finally caved in and decided he wanted to do a reunion show with Ed and Daryl. On May 26th, 2007 history was made, as the band played a reunion show to a packed house at Trenton, New Jersey’s Mill Hill Basement. This show made a decision to revive the band part time.

In December 2008, Shower With Goats entered a recording studio for the first time in over 8 years to record 13 new songs. The result was the album "Reflection", which was shelved by the band after only 40-50 copies made it out into the wild.

In early 2013 Bassist Daryl Goat left the band and Jony Mo joined. They recorded a 2 song benefit for the FreeAnons organization (An organization that benefits arrested participants of the hacktivist collective "Anonymous").

In early 2014 after the passing of his mother, Steve relocated to Texas.

In late 2013 Steve started a side/solo project called "Steve and the Neurotics", which he continues to release music under to this day.

In August and September 2020, the shelved "Reflection" album, was remixed and mastered by Arik Victor at Creep Studios in Philadelphia. It was released on October 6th, 2020 under the new title "This Is Not A Reflection..." with altered artwork, and some new parts recorded and added.

Steve has begun writing the next Shower With Goats release. Plans are to record in January 2021 with a Summer 2021 release date.
