Si Waronker

American producer & music executive.
He was the founder of Liberty in 1955 and producer of the label. Si's first name was bestowed upon [a=Simon (24)] the 'brainy' Chipmunk, in the The Chipmunks. The Liberty release of this novelty recording helped to save the label back in 1958.

Father of Lenny Waronker, grandfather of Anna Waronker and Joey Waronker.

Before the start of Liberty, Waronker was music director for 20th Century Fox films.
