Silvio Maestranzi

Born in Bolzano, 1934. Italian film director and screenwriter. Debut is in 1959 as assistant director in Napoli E' Tutta Una Canzone by Ignazio Ferronetti, then as assistant director of Mauro Bolognini in episodic film La Mia Signora and Le Tre Facce both in 1964. However, he is active purely between 1959 and 1989 to television and social surveys. In 1972 Il Numero 10 in which tells the courage of Father Kolbe, the Franciscan friar who sacrificed to save innocents and killed by the Nazis in Auschwitz. in the 1973 realizes the miniseries L' Assassinio dei Fratelli Rosselli (The Murder of the Rosselli Brothers) in 1988 and the TV movie Le Due Croci, winning the award La Navicella.
