An early to mid 80’s synth/guitar based band from the south of England; they were formed in 81-82 as a duo of Cris Gibbons and Paul Duffin. Their sound during this period was largely based on the early Human League sound (Travelogue) mixed with a little Bauhaus. In Late 83 Marc Offord joined on drums which expanded the Slanted View sound. Early Ultravox and Japan influences can be heard in their sound during this period. Slanted Views only recorded output was the single ‘White Paper’, released unusually as only a 12” version single which included a single mix, a stretch mix and an additional track ‘The Pleasures of Fears’ Although released in September 1985 all 3 tracks were recorded during separate recording sessions in 1984. The band disbanded during 1986.
