Sofi Hellborg

Swedish jazz saxophonist (alto and soprano), singer and composer, born March 25, 1962. She first studied music at Svalöv Folk High School and then moved to Cameroon at the age of 20, where she studied pygmy music. She then moved to London. She moved to Paris in 1985, where she worked full-time in music until 1999, when she moved back to Lund. Some well-known names she worked with during her time in France are Mory Kanté, Charlélie Couture and Wasis Diop.
