    Solistenvereinigung des Berliner Rundfunks

Solistenvereinigung des Berliner Rundfunk was a choir founded 1945 by Helmut Koch. Originally it was a professional choir assembling the 26 most qualified singers of various Berlin professional choirs under the name Berliner Solistenvereinigung. In 1949 the choir premiered the new national hymn of the GDR at Deutsche Staatsoper.

With centralisation (1952) and reorganising of the broadcasting service in 1953 the choir changed its official name into Solistenvereinigung des Deutschlandsenders.
In 1973 Solistenvereinigung was incorporated with "Großer Chor des Berliner Rundfunk" to Rundfunkchor Berlin.
