Soma is an instrumental, electronic/organic project featuring the talents of David Thrussell and Pieter Bourke. More known in Europe than their home country this, their seventh CD, is the first for Karmic Hit. The music of SOMA is built on the relationship and alliance between melodic/danceable structures and masses of various "found" sounds. The overall effect invokes a cascade of B-grade psychological/horror/thrillers, spaghetti westerns, strangely political sci-fi films and a vast volume of the finest conspiracy literature. David Thrussell has been touring Europe and America this year with his other projects Snog and Black Lung. He recently won the IF Award for Best Soundtrack for his work on the film "Angst". He is currently finishing a new Snog album before embarking on a new SOMA album. Pieter Bourke may be known from his band EDEN. He has recently released an album with Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance, This Mortal Coil) and was nominated for a Golden Globe award for their soundtrack to the film The Insider.
