Born awash with the Brazilian sun, Cesar Funck, the mastermind behind Sonic Future, has been developing a solid reputation across the globe, set after set, armed with intricate productions that entice the listener into a unique musical trip.
Evolving his live sets in sync with his monolithic tracks of electric landscapes, Sonic Future is steeped in musical skill. First and foremost a musician, he uses his classically trained ears and mind to rivet in aural journeys, specialising in the deep, furrowing in rhythm, revelling in the moment, with a hint of melody and a touch of euphoria.
Infamy began a short time ago for Sonic Future, snowballing onwards from the huge crossover hit “Regrets”; initially underrated, it quickly turned into everyone's choice of secret weapon, from the upper echelon artists of the big league to the enviable taste-making DJ's of the underground. From there, further headway was gained when artists of the calibre of Maceo Plex, Sasha, Agoria, Nick Warren and Adriatique to name just a few, started to support newer tracks.
Respected and formidable at tearing up dance-floors the world over himself, and powering through to prove it didn't just stop with one track, the production credits on lauded labels go from reel-to-reel; Suara, Noir, Toolroom, MoodMusic, Stil Vor Talent... Evidently it doesn't stop, now pioneering and curating his own series of tracks on Crossfrontier Audio: Themes and having many more tricks up his sleeve, Sonic Future is an alarming force to be reckoned with on any line-up, be it a festival stage or darkened club.
