About

Sound Ogre was founded as Aftershock by Juha Untinen and Tero Konola in Tornio, Finland in early 2000. The band was soon renamed to the current name. The music was mostly based on traditional heavy and doom metal, but with more synthesizers and electronics than used by other similar bands. Following line-up changes in late 2004, the band Vortech was founded by Juha in late 2005.
