Steven Satterfield US musician and the cook. He pursued an architecture degree from Georgia Tech, only to discover everything was moving toward computerization when he wanted to work with his hands. So he became a musician and formed the band Seely, which produced four albums and toured internationally with groups like Yo La Tengo. Between tours, he learned to cook in respected Atlanta restaurants including Scott Peacock’s Watershed. He’s been nominated for several James Beard awards and titled the “Vegetable Shaman” by the New York Times’ Sam Sifton for his deft ways with what most chefs deem a mere side-dish.
