Sun Dial

Not to be confused with Polish electronic downtempo group [A=Sundial Aeon].

Sun Dial has had different line-ups but is essenitally Gary Ramon's solo project. It has influenced the modern revival of psychedelia and spacerock. He formed Sun Dial in the late 1980s crafting a distinct sound incorporating swirling guitars, ethereal vocals and hypnotic melodies, combining elements of psychedelia, shoegaze and space rock. With influences ranging from The Beatles to Hawkwind, the band's discography spans multiple genres and styles, incorporating elements of ambient, electronics, indie and folk music into sonic soundscapes, some of which can be found on the trilogy of albums spanning 2012-2018 (Mind Control, Made In The Machine and Science Fiction), while the self-titled album from 2010 can be filed under metal.
