Suuk

Suuk is Estonian early psychedelic band founded in 1968, initially called Müstikud. In the summer of 1973, at the suggestion of the management of the Cultural Hall, the ensemble was forced to change its name, as the use of the previous name was forbidden. The new name was derived from the fact that the ensemble had six members - Suuk is backwards six. Band played some festivals in Latvia and Estonia and recorded just one (self-titled) album in 1976, which was re-released on CD in 1999. After the band was disbanded in 1976 there was formed short-lived "Suuk-2". Aleksander Müller continued his career as solo artist, in 1977 he released solo album "Kuhtumised Iseendaga".
Band's music was influenced by early British psychedelic bands, with flute, keyboard passages, acid guitars and jazzy arrangements, combined with some Estonian folk tunes.
