Swingrowers

Swingrowers (pronounced “Swing-Growers”) are an electro-swing band from Palermo in Sicily.

Roberto Costa a.k.a. “Pisk”, Loredana Grimaudo and Alessio Costagliola melt perfectly together using their Italian musical heritage as a building block for the “Swing-Growers”. Arduously touring around European, passing by famous clubs like London’s Hootananny, La Javà and La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris. They have become one of the main artists to appear at important electro swing events such as, Electro Swing Club ofLondon and Milan, the Electro Swing Cabaret organised by Bebop Swing of Lyon and Toulouse, Turin’s Swing Circus, Nottingham’s Jitterbug, Palermo’s Sicily Music Village and Hoppa Fest, Brighton and London’s stages of White Mink, and many other UK and European festivals including Secret Garden Party, BoomTown Festival and many more.

At the beginning of 2012 Swingrowers were announced as winners of the “Electro-swing People Favourite 2011” competition, and as “Best Hope” of 2012, which solidified their already studded status within the world of electro-swing.

The Swingrowers are signed to Freshly Squeezed Music - A British independent record label and music publisher. Their first album 'Pronounced Swing Grow'ers' was released by Freshly Squeezed Music in 2012. Since then they have released numerous EP's which have featured collaborations with Dj Pony Montana, The Gypsy Hill, the Lost Fingers and Caro Emerald.

In April 2013 they began their first overseas tour around U.S. and Canada, in the major capital cities such as San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal (sold out), New York (sold out), Chigaco, Toronto (sold out), Detroit playing alongside artists such as Parov Stelar, Caravan Palace and Chinese Man at live shows across Europe.

The Swingrowers are currently working on their new album with ideas for a full band live show in the pipeline.
