About

Swiz was a hardcore punk band from Washington DC formed in 1987 by [a=Shawn Brown (4)] (vocals), Jason Farrell (guitar), Alex Daniels (drums), and Nathan Larson (bass). The band also briefly featured Ramsey Metcalf on 2nd guitar in 1987. Larson left the band in 1989 to join Shudder To Think and was replaced by Dave Stern, with whom the band recorded one 7" ("With Dave") before splitting. In 1993, Jade Tree Records released the band's entire discography on one CD called "No Punches Pulled". In 1996, Brown, Farrell, Stern, and Daniels reunited under the name Sweetbelly Freakdown and cut an album for Jade Tree.
