Tablefox

Tablefox began as an idea over a beer at a barbeque between guitarist Matt Carson and singer/songwriter, Clinton Bell. Songs came quickly, gigs were played and the self-funded ‘Passenger’ EP was released to positive reviews both in New Zealand and overseas. It was at the end of 2013 that Tablefox made the decision to evolve its line-up to include guitarist Chris Dickinson, drummer Owen Bradley and bass player Brendan Coyle. Since this expansion, songs and creativity have poured from the band. The inter weaving of melodic guitars and vocal harmonies have seen the musical direction take a shift, but not so the desire to write catchy, powerful songs. With influences ranging from Frightened Rabbit, Neil Finn and Johnny Marr, to Dinosaur Jr, Straightjacket Fits and Editors, Tablefox is a blend of alternative, indie rawness with pop sensibilities. With a new EP on the not so distant horizon, Tablefox are looking forward to a productive, creative summer and beyond.
