About

Teddy Toi is a New Zealand bassist. His career began in the late 1950s playing with The Sundowners. In the mid-1960s he played with Billy Thorpe And The Aztecs and in 1970 joined Fanny Adams. The group disbanded in early 1971. Teddy and ex-Fanny Adams drummer Johnny Dick were then invited by Lobby Loyde to form a new version of The Wild Cherries, which lasted from 1971 until 1972. The pair also played on Lobby Loyde's first solo album Plays With George Guitar (1973). During the same period he played with the 'supergroup' Duck. He rejoined Billy Thorpe And The Aztecs and played on the album More Arse Than Class (1974).
Sadly Teddy passed away 18th April 2022.
