Television Power Electric is an extension of TV Pow: Brent Gutzeit, Michael Hartman and Todd A. Carter works with a rotating cast of friends, recording improvisations for a day or two with them, and later editing and remixing those materials to produce an album.
TVPE had three installments so far: first chapter was recorded at Chicago in October 1998 with Aeron Bergman, Otomo Yoshihide, Jim Baker, Ernst Karel (known as Ernst Long at this time) and Robert Wilkus. Second album was recorded with Boris Hauf, Ernst Karel and Toshimaru Nakamura in 2002 at Chicago. 'Television Power Electric 3' was recorded two years later at Spain with Xabier Erkizia and Iñigo Telletxea.
