    The 4 Esquires

US vocal quartet formed in 1936.

Members: Dick Whittinghill (a.k.a. Old Loudmouth), John Huddleston, Bud Hervey, George Tate.
They appeared in movies "Old man rhythm" (from 1935), "Top of the town" and "Saratoga" (latter two from 1937).
Later merged into octet The Pied Pipers, along with The Three Rhythm Kings and Jo Stafford.

This is not the same group as the doo-wop vocal group The Four Esquires that recorded "Hideaway" in the late 1950s.
