About

Vocal trio who sang with at least Ray Bauduc and Wayne King, and recorded with Johnny Mercer, active circa 1941–1945. They recorded for Capitol, appeared on the NBC radio network, and had their own show on WHK radio in Cleveland. The trio was said to consist of sisters Linda, Sharon, and Lee Barrie, but only the first names were real and they were not really sisters. The group was formed in Chicago, by a CBS radio producer named Bill Bunt, who needed a girls' trio for the program. He picked the members from the existing roster of singers at the station.
