The Blood Divine

Formed in 1995 in Colchester (UK) The Blood Divine consisted of three former Cradle Of Filth members: Benjamin Ryan (Keyboards) Paul Ryan (Guitar, Vocals) and Paul Allender (Guitar) ex Anathema vocalist Darren White, bass guitarist Steve Maloney and drummer Was Sarginson. They recorded two albums of Doomy, Dark, Gothic metal that was somewhat removed from the style of the bands they previously played in. Though the band was well received by music press at the time, they split up in May 1998. A best-of compilation with unreleased tracks ("Arise Pantheon Dreams") was released in 2002.

At last notice, Darren White was in a new band Dead Men Dream, as of 2000 Paul Allender has again joined Cradle Of Filth. Was Sarginson played on Cradle Of Filth's 1999 EP "From The Cradle To The Enslave" and recorded two albums with Dutch band Deinonychus, though he left the band after their 2002 release. Steve Maloney now plays in Vicious Cabaret.
