The Fabulous Chefs were a R&B/Funk band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, active from 1969 through the late 1970's. Their only recording was a limited run single called Mr. Machine on the Pro-Gress label. It was recorded at Studio East in Milwaukee by engineer Tom Gress in the spring of 1974. The records were delivered and distributed in June of that year. They wanted 'The Fabulous Chefs' on the record, but "Every letter costs money" so that is why it's only credited to 'The Chefs'.
